What makes Twin Eagles parts expensive

Twin Eagles builds its grills in Southern California and sells them through dealers, and the parts follow the same path. There is almost no aftermarket for the gas and electrical side, so for most repairs you are buying OEM from a dealer. The good news is that some of the parts that fail most often, like U-burners and valves, are priced lower than people expect for a grill at this level. The expensive parts are the infrared burners, the grates and anything electrical.

What drives the price on a Twin Eagles part:

  • Series. Twin Eagles grills come in B series and C series (the model number ends in -B or -C), plus the Eagle One and Pellet lines. Valves, knobs, wire harnesses and transformers differ between B and C. A C series knob is sold as an assembly with the lighted bezel for about $200, while an older chrome knob is about $41.
  • Grill width. Grates and briquette trays come in specific widths for the 30, 36, 42 and 54 inch grills. The 36 inch grill uses its own burner and grate sizes.
  • Hot surface ignition. Twin Eagles main burners light with hot surface igniters, not spark electrodes. Those igniters, the transformer that powers them and the harness all cost more than a basic spark setup.

If you are comparing brands, Twin Eagles runs a little below Alfresco parts prices on burners and valves and about even with Lynx on grates. Twin Eagles and Delta Heat share a number of small parts like lights, switches and regulators, so a Delta Heat parts list can help if you are cross-checking a number.

Part-by-part breakdown

Burners

The stainless U-burner on TEBQ grills is about $157 each. A complete U-burner kit runs about $470. Before buying, check your warranty. Twin Eagles covers stainless main burners with a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner, so a cracked or rusted-through burner may be a warranty claim.

The infrared sear zone burner is the big ticket item. The burner with mesh runs about $345, and the complete sear zone kit about $590. If only the mesh screen is torn or warped, that is about $83. The infrared rotisserie burner on the back wall is about $250. Sear and rotisserie burners have a five-year warranty, not lifetime. Compare these to other brands in our burner price guide.

Valves

Main burner valves run about $59 to $62. B series valves include a microswitch that tells the system to power the igniter when you push the knob, and that microswitch sells separately for about $31. When a burner will not light but the others do, the switch is a cheaper first check than the valve. Rotisserie valves for C series grills are about $60. NG to LP conversion kits are about $80 to $91. Buy valves from Twin Eagles only. More on valve pricing is in our grill valve cost guide.

Ignition and electrical

A main burner hot surface igniter is about $62 OEM, with an aftermarket version near $50. Rotisserie and power burner igniters run about $84 to $93. Spark modules for side burners and some models are about $50 to $59. Flash tubes run about $41 to $55.

The transformer is about $210, and wire harnesses run from about $54 for a valve manifold harness up to about $315 for the 36 and 42 inch LED harness. When every burner stops lighting at once, it is usually the transformer, the power cord or a harness, not the igniters. Test before you buy. Our ignition parts guide explains the difference between hot surface and spark systems.

Grates, briquette trays and briquettes

OEM stainless hex grates run about $275 to $380 per section, depending on width. Aftermarket stainless hex grates that match the OEM sizes cost about $210 to $230. This is one of the few places on a Twin Eagles where aftermarket is a reasonable option.

Briquette tray assemblies cost about $100 to $237 OEM and about $99 to $199 aftermarket. Ceramic briquettes run about $48 for a 12 pack. See grill grate prices for a brand comparison.

Knobs, lights and rotisserie

Older chrome knobs are about $41. C series knob and bezel assemblies run about $199 to $210 because the lighted ring is part of the assembly. Light assemblies are about $48, halogen bulbs about $18 and lenses about $16. The hood thermometer is about $94. The rotisserie motor is about $242 and spit rods about $106 to $115. See rotisserie part costs for more.

OEM vs. aftermarket

Aftermarket coverage for Twin Eagles is thin. You can find aftermarket hex grates, briquette trays and a hot surface igniter, and they save some money. For burners, valves, transformers, harnesses and knob assemblies, OEM is the only practical choice. Universal igniters sold on Amazon will not work with the Twin Eagles hot surface system, so skip them.

Find your model and serial number

Twin Eagles puts a data nameplate on the bottom right side of the firebox, near the regulator. Pull the drip pan out and look in from the front. There is often a second label under the right side of the control panel. Write down the full model number, including the -B or -C at the end, and the serial number. That one letter decides which valve, knob, harness and transformer you need.

DIY or hire a pro

Grates, briquette trays, light bulbs and the rotisserie motor are simple swaps. U-burners are a reasonable DIY job if you can line the burner back up on the valve orifice. Igniters, valves, the transformer and harness work mean pulling the control panel and working near gas lines and 120 volt power, and that is where we recommend a tech. Labor time depends on what has to come apart. A burner swap is quick. Tracing a hot surface ignition fault on a C series grill can take longer than the part itself.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Twin Eagles burner cost?

A stainless U-burner for a TEBQ grill is about $157. The infrared sear zone burner runs about $345 to $590, and the infrared rotisserie burner about $250.

Where is the model and serial number on a Twin Eagles grill?

The data nameplate is on the bottom right side of the firebox near the regulator. Pull out the drip pan to see it. A second label is often under the right side of the control panel.

Why won't my Twin Eagles grill light?

If one burner will not light, check the hot surface igniter (about $62) or the valve microswitch (about $31). If none light, check the power cord, transformer and harness first.

Are Twin Eagles burners covered by warranty?

Stainless main burners have a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner. Sear zone and rotisserie burners are covered for five years.

Can I use aftermarket parts on a Twin Eagles grill?

Aftermarket hex grates, briquette trays and a hot surface igniter are available and work well. For valves, burners and electrical parts, use OEM.

How we get our pricesPrices come from current listings at authorized parts dealers, the Pro Grill parts store, manufacturer parts sites and Amazon, checked by hand. We list OEM (factory) parts and, where a decent one exists, aftermarket or universal parts. Prices change with supply and model year, so treat these as ranges and confirm the exact part for your model and serial number before you order.
